New Tyson Foods Chicken Production Complex Opening in West Tennessee

Tyson Foods, Inc. will build a new chicken production complex in and around Humboldt, Tennessee, in Gibson County, with expectations to start operating in late 2019. The chicken complex is comprised of a processing plant, hatchery, a feed mill and related operations. With the new chicken complex, the Tyson Local Grain Services (LGS) team is excited to begin developing relationships with farmers in the area and begin buying corn directly from farmers to feed Tyson chickens.

Tyson LGS is connected to the local farmer by purchasing as much locally-grown corn as possible to feed our chickens the highest quality grain available. By doing this, we offer competitive bids and achieve our goal of keeping local grain local. Additionally, it allows us to build personal relationships with you and your family, and be connected to your local community.

The LGS team will host a dinner at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, at Crenshaw’s Catfish Cookers located at 314 Poplar Corner Rd., Trenton, TN. We invite you to come meet with us and learn more about selling your corn to Tyson LGS.

Please RSVP to localgrainservices@tyson.com. To receive more information or if you have any questions please call us at (844) 816-8579 or visit our website.
